guacamole

Empty chairs stop costing you.

When a patient doesn't show, Guacamole collects the fee. When one cancels, it fills the chair. You do nothing.

Nothing to pay to start. We earn only when money comes back to you.

The chair is gone. The fee never comes.

Nobody wants a fight at the front desk.

Charging a patient for a missed cleaning feels like a confrontation your team has to have face to face. So the fee is waived, and the chair time is written off.

Guacamole does the asking. You stay the one they like.

  1. 8:00The hygiene chair is set up for a 60-minute cleaning.
  2. 8:20No patient. The front desk calls and reaches voicemail.
  3. 8:45A text arrives: "So sorry, forgot!"
  4. 9:00The hour is gone. Nobody mentions the fee.

Missed Appointment Policy

We reserve your time with the dentist or hygienist just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know at least 24 hours before your appointment.

• Cancel or reschedule 24+ hours ahead: no charge.
• Cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, or miss your appointment: a fee of $[50] for cleanings and $[150] for procedures.
• Arriving more than 15 minutes late may require us to reschedule, which counts as a missed appointment.

In a genuine emergency, call us and we will waive the fee. A card is kept on file to secure your appointment; it is only charged under this policy.

Charge it the right way.

The rules.

Patients agree first

Your policy is shown and accepted at booking, so every charge is backed by consent on record.

Insurance

Insurers generally do not pay for missed appointments, so the fee is billed to the patient directly.4

No private details

Messages never include treatment or health information. Only the time, the policy and the amount.

Questions dental practices ask

Can a dental office charge a no-show fee?

Yes, in most places, when the patient agreed to the policy in advance. Guacamole records that agreement at booking. Check your state and any insurance network contracts.

Will insurance pay the no-show fee?

Generally no. Insurers do not cover missed appointments, so the fee is charged to the patient.

Won't patients leave if we charge them?

The policy is clear from day one, reminders give every chance to cancel free, and messages come from Guacamole, not your front desk. You can waive any fee in one tap.

Does it work with our practice software?

Guacamole runs your booking, reminders and payments. We bring your existing appointments over during setup.

What does it cost?
